CMR announces

Formation of Responsible

Recycling Charitable

Foundation

Ron Bowman

ROCHESTER,NH—

Cremation Metal Recycling

an-

nounces the formation of its 501c3, non-profit recycling

company,

Responsible Recycling Charitable Founda-

tion.

The purpose of this new non-profit company is to

support any funeral home/crematory (profit or non-prof-

it), who chooses to donate all post cremation metal recy-

cling proceeds to a charity of their choice.

Due to ethical concerns, many funeral homes don’t wish

to profit from the sale of their cremation metal. Many feel

that recycling is the most responsible and environmental-

ly safe method of disposing

of cremation metal and that

the charitable donations are

the most ethical method of

handling any proceeds that

result from the refining of

cremation metal.

Responsible Recycling

Charitable

Foundation

will provide the funer-

al home/crematory with a

certificate that shows their

participation in the non-

profit company and that

all proceeds were donat-

ed to a charity. The certifi-

cate can be displayed in the reception area so that clients

will understand the policy with respect to how their loved

ones’ cremation metal is handled.

Ron Bowman Promoted

Cremation Metal Recycling also has announced the ap-

pointment of

Ron Bowman

as vice president of sales and

marketing. Ron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Busi-

ness Administration with a major in marketing. He has

been involved in both sales and sales management over the

past 40 years, representing several Fortune 500 firms cov-

ering industries such as industrial products, office equip-

ment, communications and the fire protection industry.

Ron’s responsibilities include helping his brother,

Jer-

ry Bowman,

owner and founder, to develop a strategic

marketing plan for expansion of the company’s recycling

services throughout the United States. He will be design-

ing and implementing a plan to recruit independent sales

representatives, to represent both the cremation metal re-

cycling company and the non-profit charitable donation

company, in targeted areas of the United States. In addi-

tion, Ron will proactively market the company’s recycling

services to crematories in his home state of Florida and

assist with all company advertising and marketing plans.

“I’m excited to help my brother expand his business

throughout the United States. Over the past 20 years, my

brother has built a successful business in New England

and New York, providing cremation supplies and more

recently, cremation metal recycling services to funeral

homes and crematories. Cremation is rapidly becoming

the preferred method of disposition in most states and

most crematories are now recycling post cremation metal

which eliminates any impact on our environment.”

or an independent sales rep opportunity, contact Ron at

Briotech Inc Announces

Distribution Agreement

with Dodge to Tackle

Deadly Prions

SPRINGFIELD,IL—

Federated Funeral Directors of Amer-

ica’s Rebecca Stoedter

recently completed the credential-

ing process with the American Institute of CPAs

(AICPA),

gaining the designation of ABV, or Accredited in Business

Valuations. The ABV credential, established in 1998 by the

AICPA, is granted to qualified CPAs who have demonstrat-

ed considerable expertise in valuation through knowledge,

skills and experience. Stoedter met extensive requirements

to earn the ABV credential, which include passing a rigorous

exam, demonstrating significant business experience with

the completion of business valuation engagements and com-

pleting over 75 hours of education in the area of valuation.

Stoedter, who has been with Federated for nearly six

years, has also been named the manager of the Valua-

tion and Transaction Services Department. “We are very

pleased to have such a strong professional leading our val-

uation department,” said

Fabrice Moriaux,

Federated’s

executive director. Rebecca has a bachelor’s degree in eco-

nomics from the University of Illinois and is a certified

public accountant. The VATS department at Federated

offers comprehensive succession planning services and as-

sists funeral homes in structuring a plan that accomplish-

es the business’s transition goals.

ling and preventing many transmissible diseases. That’s

so important today when rampant antibiotic resistance is

challenging established approaches to infectious disease

management all over the world. The discovery reported

in PLOS Pathogens has opened new avenues for research-

ers to explore in understanding the relationship between

the HOCL made in the brain, its possible involvement

in prion inactivation there, and the disease processes that

lead to dementia. Understanding those processes is one

of the most urgent priorities facing biomedical science at

this time.”

BrioHOCLTM is easy to handle, safe for both users

and treated surfaces and is environmentally safe. Brio-

tech’s pure HOCL, used in the PLOS Pathogens report,

is reliably stable in its formulation and powerfully effec-

tive against a wide range of conventional microbial dis-

ease agents. The solution can be applied directly to skin

and mucous membranes, hard surfaces, instruments, or

safely aerosolized to decontaminate entire rooms.

The research study titled Inactivation of Prions and Am-

yloid seeds with Hypochlorous Acid, appears in the cur-

rent issue of PLOS Pathogens at:

http://dx.plos.org/10.1371/journal.ppat.1005914.

BrioHOCLTM treatment led to a high level of inacti-

vation after short exposure times for transmissible pri-

ons of CJD, BSE, and Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD),

but also for self-replicating proteins found in Alzheim-

er’s, Parkinson’s and other dementias. Infectivity of Brio-

HOCLTM-treated scrapie prions in mice was also highly

significantly reduced.

Briotech is a disruptive therapeutic and disinfection

technology start-up based in the Seattle area, that manu-

facturers the first Hypochlorous Acid (HOCL) product

with purity and long term stability without buffers for

use in a wide variety of applications globally.

Dodge is the world’s largest manufacturer and suppli-

er of embalming chemicals, instruments, supplies and

more. For more information, visit
