of Leesburg, FL died April 27,
2017 at the age of 94. He was a second generation fu-
neral director, owner and operator of
Beyers Funeral
Home.
A graduate of the
Cincinnati College of Mortu-
ary Science,
he was a recipient of the Clyde Lankford
award for funeral service. He was a member of the
Florida Funeral Directors of Florida
and the
Indepen-
dent Funeral Directors of Florida.
GALE A. GOHLKE
of Mon-
roe, WI died April 26, 2017
at the age of 77. He was a li-
censed funeral director for
over 50 years, serving area
communities like Poynette,
Kenosha, Racine, Albany, and
Janesville. He served the
Shri-
ner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral
Home
in Monroe for the past
21 years. He graduated from
the
Wisconsin Scholl of Mortu-
ary Science
in Milwaukee.
MARJEAN S. McCOLAUGH
of Xenia, OH died May 3,
2017 at the age of 99. In
1960, together with her late
husband
Bob,
they pur-
chased the former
Nagley
Funeral Home
in Xenia
and proudly founded the
current
McColaugh Fu-
neral Home
based on their
dedication to serve families
in their time of need.
AUGUST WANKA
of Farn-
ham, Quebec died April 20,
2017 at the age of 75. In
1996, he purchased
Casket
Hardware
Manufacturers
Ltd.
and continued to own
and operate it as president
until his passing. He was a
member of the
Casket & Fu-
neral Supply Association.
JOSEPH E. NUTTER
of Lost
Creek, WV died April 13,
2017 at the age of 80. He
was the former owner, fu-
neral director and embalm-
er at
Davis Weaver Funeral
Home
in Clarksburg, WV,
retiring in 2003. A graduate
of the
Pittsburgh Institute of
Mortuary Science,
he con-
ducted a seminar on Death
and the Clergy for the
American College
in Belgium.
He was a member of the
West Virginia Funeral Direc-
tors Association
and served as president of the asso-
ciation in 1987. He was presented with the Charles
E. Dodd Award and the Funeral Director of the Year
Award for 2005.
WILLIAM “BILL” JOSEPH
KOCH
of Ridge, NY died
April 24, 2017 at the age
of 97. He worked as an in-
surance salesman, man-
ager and investigator for
25 years. After retiring in
1982, he began working
for various funeral homes
on the East end of Long
Island as a licensed funeral
director and embalmer un-
til he was 94. He graduat-
ed from the
American Academy McAllister Institute
of Funeral Service
in 1949.
