Funeral Innovations Introduces The
Healing Registry
DES MOINES,IA—
Fu-
neral Innovations
re-
vealed their Healing Reg-
istry, offering families the
most personalized gift giv-
ing experience. The Heal-
ing Registry allows fami-
lies to select sympathy gifts
that will help them, and
informs family and friends
how to best support them
during a time of grief.
During a major life event
like weddings or a new
baby, the use of registries
have become indispens-
able. A funeral is just like
any other life event where
personalization matters,
and the Healing Registry
offers family and friends
the ability to contribute meaningful and
preferred gifts to those grieving.
Family members can personalize their
Healing Registry by selecting flowers,
plants, gift baskets, keepsakes and contri-
butions to a charity. Each family can cus-
tomize which products are beneficial and
have them displayed on their loved one’s
online obituary. A personalized login will
be given to family members so items can
be added at any time. The Healing Reg-
Craftsmanship in Action at C. J. Boots
ANDERSON,IN—
As the newspaper head-
lines and evening news broadcast contin-
ue to feature stories about companies out-
sourcing production and jobs from the
United States to Mexico,
C.J. Boots Cas-
ket Company
is taking the opposite ap-
proach by investing in its production fa-
cilities in Indiana. By adding a rough mill
operation in Richmond, C.J. Boots has
opened up vital space on the production
floor in Anderson to allow for the contin-
ued expansion of its product line and con-
tinue to add jobs here in the United States.
“We are literally running out of room in
our Anderson plant,” stated
Chris Boots,
president of C.J. Boots. “We determined
the best course of action would be to sim-
ply relocate the pre-processing lumber op-
eration in Richmond.”
As part of the expansion, C.J. Boots has
added state of the art lumber processing
equipment to improve both lumber yield
and through put, thereby accommodating
the increase customer demand for Ameri-
can made products.
“Our plans are to grow our innovative
Craft Casket line with this freed up space.
Despite the growth of cremation, our hard-
wood casket and ceremonial rental casket
sales continue to grow,” commented Boots.
“We will also be introducing a line of high
value, high eye appeal caskets that adhere to
the rigorous quality standards of C.J. Boots.”
Since its beginning in 1999, C.J. Boots
has grown to become one of the country’s
leading manufacturers of solid hardwood
and ceremonial rental caskets. The compa-
ny and its employees take pride in crafting
quality products that meet the high stan-
dards of funeral directors everywhere.
“Our projections indicate that approxi-
mately 450,000 caskets will be imported
into the United States from Mexico and
China in 2017,” said
Gerald Davis,
pres-
ident of
Vandor Corporation,
the parent
company of C.J. Boots. “Our hope is that
the continued expansion of the Craft Cas-
ket line as well as the new line of high val-
ue, low cost caskets made by C.J. Boots in
Indiana will continue to expand American
made product opportunities.”
By combining the skills of tradition-
al artisans and the use of state-of-the-art
woodworking machinery, C.J. Boots Cas-
ket Company manufactures only the high-
est quality solid hardwood, and ceremoni-
al rental caskets. In an effort to bridge the
gap between “old world craftsmanship”
and “lean manufacturing,” the company
continues to develop new and innovative
manufacturing processes. For more infor-
