AUSTIN,TX—
The International Order
of the Golden Rule
(OGR) is excited to
host its 58th Annual Conference & Sup-
plier Showcase in New Orleans, LA this
April.
“This conference has been designed to
provide attendees with valuable takeaways
to capitalize on the new normal in funer-
al service and provide them with ways to
keep their businesses above ground. In ad-
dition, the Supplier Showcase will feature
top suppliers in the industry,” said
Mark
Allen,
executive director and CEO for
OGR. “This annual event is a great op-
portunity for independent funeral home
owners and staff to learn new ideas and
gather tools to succeed in the ever chang-
ing funeral service profession.”
Attendees will tackle ways to woo and
wow the new funeral family. They’ll also
learn from experts how to differentiate
their firms from competitors, present the
open casket as a valuable option, deliver
value to cremation families, and much
more. These sessions and the Great Ideas
Exchange will provide attendees with the
information they need to thrive 2017.
In addition to education, attendees
will enjoy an incredible lineup of events
planned at the New Orleans destination
with a Welcome to the Big Easy Party fea-
turing a jazz band, local food and drinks.
Representatives in OGR’s network of sup-
pliers will be on hand in the Supplier
Showcase to share how their unique and
valuable products and services can help
funeral service professionals become more
efficient and increase profitability. Con-
ference participants will have a ball at the
masquerade themed closing banquet and
get a taste of true Mardi Gras masking.
Founded in 1928, OGR is affiliated
with more than 600 independent funeral
homes that share common goals of exem-
plary service, uncompromising care and
compassion to families in their time of

Takeaways for the New
Generation of Funeral Pro-
