Quinaia Kellogg and Sanrda D. Clark Funeral Home

Posted by Elleanor Davis Starks on May 1, 2017

Recipient Quinaia Kellogg experienced death for the first time her freshman year in high school. Seeing her friend, who died tragically, at his funeral not resembling the person that she knew in life, made her question if she could have done a better job preparing him. That moment sparked her interest in the funeral industry, one year after graduating high school she enrolled in the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science to pursue a career as a licensed funeral director.

“As a funeral director, I will have access to some of the most intimate parts of people’s lives. It is my duty and passion to be that helping hand in one of the most difficult times someone can ever face, to be able to lift their burdens, walk with them during their grief process and to be that shoulder to lean on or that source of information. I love to serve others even if I never know the full impact I have on their lives. If I make serving others my purpose, I will never fail,” stated Kellogg.
