CANA never shies away from the BROOKFIELD,WI— The National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) is proud that nearly 900 funeral professionals from licensed funeral directors to students and apprentices – have expressed a willingness to offer on-the-ground help to their col- leagues during the COVID-19 pandem- ic. NFDA urges funeral homes that are in need of assistance and want volunteer sup- port to reach out – assistance is available. Funeral homes that are members of their state association should relay those needs to News Association their state association, which will relay those needs to NFDA. NFDA and the state associ- ation will work to ensure all requests are met. NFDA continues to add names to its ros- ter of volunteers in anticipation of other needs emerging in the days and weeks to come. With this virtu- al event, CANA is meeting cremation, cemetery, and funeral professionals where they are – serving their com- munities safely through on- line platforms. Exhibits, net- working, education, and fun packed into two days – Au- gust 5-6, 2020. Unlike every previous loca- tion-specific CANA conven- tion, the 102nd annual event will be a Virtual CANA, un- tethered to a specific hotel or city. While this is a chal- lenge, it also provides enor- mous opportunities for pro- fessionals across the world to connect in new ways. “We’ve talked about a vir- tual event, and in this case necessity is truly the mother of invention.
