Service Welcomes Lauren Budrow as
President

Lauren M. Budrow,
CFSP,
as president of
Mid-America College
of Funeral Service
, Jeffersonville, IN.
Budrow has a combined total of fif-
teen years in funeral service and high-
er education. Most recently, she served
as program director and instructor for
the
Funeral Service Education Program
at
Lake Washington Institute of Technol-
ogy,
Kirkland, WA
A licensed funeral di-
rector and embalmer in
the states of Indiana and
Washington,
Budrow
worked for eight years
at
Flanner and Buchanan
Funeral Centers
in India-
napolis, IN before mov-
ing to Seattle to pursue
other opportunities. She
holds an Associate of Sci-
ence degree in Mortuary
Science from
Vincennes
University,
a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Eng-
lish Literature from
Indi-
ana University,
and a Master’s Degree
in Business Administration from
Butler
University.
“I am honored to join Mid-Ameri-
ca College of Funeral Service,” stated
Budrow. “The college has a respect-
ed heritage of educating funeral pro-
fessionals since 1895 and I know that
with the support of its excellent facul-
ty and staff, we will continue that long
into the future.” Budrow credits her
father-in-law,
Norman Knuth,
as her
inspiration to pursue funeral service,
pointing to his nearly forty years as a
funeral director who demonstrated the
values and rewards of funeral service.
“Instilling this same passion and pro-
fessionalism in students is
a top goal of Mid-Ameri-
ca College,” Budrow says.
“It’s very exhilarating to
be joining a staff that is so
committed to this.”
