Creedy & Company Announces Workshop to Explore
Sustainable Strategies

Creedy,
chief strategist at
Creedy & Company,
an-
nounced the latest in his
Blue Ocean Tour series of
highly participatory work-
shops for Death Care prac-
titioners. As with the pre-
vious Creedy & Company
seminars, this event will
not be held at a resort loca-
tion, but rather will utilize
a learning laboratory, in
the form of a funeral home
that has successfully tran-
sitioned to an additional
new revenue stream.
“The 21st Century Sum-
mit will begin with a
journey through the ir-
relevant and outdated as-
sumptions,” commented
Creedy. “Later exploration
of more relevant assump-
tions about our current
and future reality will em-
power a funeral practitio-
ner to craft a vision of what
customers really want and
how to offer it profitably.”
This two day workshop
is intended for those seek-
ing a new and better ap-
proach to running a funer-
al home in this complex
world. This traveling tour
will take participants to the
Camino Del Sol Funer-
al Home and Cremation
Garden
in Sun City, AZ
and the classroom environ-
ment of the
Thunderbird
School of Global Manage-
ment
in Glendale, AZ from
October 28-30, 2014. In
addition to Creedy, three
additional faculty moder-
ators:
Bruce Buchanan,
Todd Borgardt
and
Steve
Shaffer,
will share their ex-
pertise and key elements of
their business strategy as
well as lead workshops that
will turn insights into per-
sonally applicable action
steps for each attendee.
“I believe there are three
primary strategies that
will take a firm to a more
successful and secure fu-
ture: repurposing, growth
through acquisition or safe
harbor. Until we fully un-
derstand the new reality,
we cannot hope to imag-
ine how to repurpose our
company and our assets,
let alone develop a win-
ning strategy,” Creedy ob-
served. “Our goal at the
summit is to empower at-
tendees to participate in
the workshops and iden-
tify a strategy or strategies
that best suit them.”
Buchanan’s presentation,
Slaying Dragons – A Path
from Mediocrity to Excel-
lence,
will discuss firsthand
how he repurposed the
staff at a company that had
become a moribund insti-
tution. Buchanan will also
discuss how he morphed
his company from stagna-
tion to vitality to leverage
the opportunity of serving
a new and ever changing
customer.
The workshop by Bor-
gardt,
Be First in the Mind
or Be Out,
presents the cut-
ting edge communication
strategy he developed that
is fresh and innovative. It is
the first marketing strategy
that successfully unites tra-
ditional media with digital
media strategies to present
a consistent and uniform
message.
