Annual Convention Opening Ceremony
The NFD&MA, Inc. celebrates the Dawn of a New Day at the 77
th
Annual National
Convention and Exposition. You are cordially invited to commemorate ninety years
of historic involvement in communities across this country. This grand affair will be
held on Monday, August 4, at 9:00AM at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. The ceremony will
feature elected officials, local celebrities and more.
As we celebrate this milestone, we will also celebrate the centennial (100 Year) celebra-
tions of funeral service firms throughout our association. We are pleased to announce
our keynote speaker

Attorney Willie E. Gary earned his reputation as “The Giant Killer” by taking down
some of America’s most well-known corporate giants on behalf of his clients. He has
won some of the largest jury awards and settlements in U.S. history, including more
than 150 cases valued in excess of $1 million each. Gary’s amazing success has earned
him national recognition as a leading trial attorney.

National Service of
Remembrance
Gathering with friends and family to share favorite stories and com-
forting one another at a difficult time is an important step in the
grieving process. The National Funeral Directors and Morticians
Association, Inc. will observe the National Service of Remem-
brance to celebrate, honor and reflect on the lives of our deceased
members, friends and colleagues. The service will be in conjunction
with Monday’s Opening Ceremony and will include presentations
by NFDMA Youth, National Association of Young Entrepreneurs
(NAYE) representatives, musical selections and a message of en-
couragement. We proudly speak their names in tribute!

A motorcade of hearses and motorcycles will form at the Inspiring Body of
Christ Church and begin weaving through the streets of Dallas en route to the
Hilton Anatole for a rally and press conference against violence. This reclaim-
ing of our children’s lives will feature remarks from national and local govern-
ment officials, NFDMA, IFDA of Texas and the community.
The NFDMA Public Day will offer 2 CEU credits for those in attendance.
