nual Christmas Food Drive
for the Needy. This was the

drive which was initiated by

non-perishable food items,
clothing and toys which were
delivered to a local church for
distribution to needy families.

butions were made by local

2013-PIMS Best Practices 101
. This all day seminar spon-
sored by PIMS will feature
Jeffrey Chancellor
, internation-
ally known and respected presenter now representing
Eckels
& Company
. The seminar will be held at PIMS on Friday,
March 15, 2013 from 8:45 am to 4:15 pm.
Funeral service is facing many challenges today, from
changing consumer behavior with regard to open-casket
viewing, embalming and restorative services. It will include
three two-hour programs:The “Funeral Arranger”- Commu-
nicating Effecting with Family Members; The New Normal
Case, Embalming in 2013; and When a Stranger Calls: East
Meets West. This program will not disappoint the embalm-

food items. This year, a re-
cord breaking 416 food bas-
kets were prepared. A formal
delivery of the food baskets,
clothing, and toys was made
to the Fourth Presbyterian
Church. Pittsburgh Bureau
of Fire provided a fire truck
to escort Santa and PIMS stu-
dents to the church for deliv-
ery of the items.
PIMS class #147 student,
James Duke
was dressed as
Santa, and
Ashley Popek
was Mrs. Clause
. Jill Guiffre
also was dressed in holiday
attire for the event. The stu-
dents formed a human-chain
to unload the items into the
church. The students, faculty
and staff express their sincere
thanks to all those who were
a part of this year’s event.
