The hopes of countless grieving chil-
dren rose to the stratosphere as plump, blue balloons floated
into a sun-drenched, cloudless, autumn sky. A consortium of
Greater Cleveland end-of-life firms initiated this compassion-
ate and dramatic activity to recognize Children’s Grief Aware-
ness Day at Cornerstone of Hope in Independence, Ohio on
November 15, 2012.
This event was unusual, for most organizations usually at-
tend to their own business and have limited interaction with
other firms. But concern for the greater good of the com-
munity prompted these concerned businesses to join forces
