This new addition to the ICCFA University line-up is designed to give stu- dents a foundation in funeral home/ceme- tery hospitality and catering management. Classes will cover topics ranging from ba- sic event planning and the essentials of the hospitality and catering markets to inter- preting financial budgets, leadership and catering team management. John Bolton, CCE, CSE, CCrE, will serve as dean. “The mission of the ICCFA Universi- ty is to provide innovative and progres- sive education encompassing all facets of death care,” says ICCFA University chan- cellor, Jeff Kidwiler . “Through the cre- ation of the College of Hospitality and Event Management, we are keeping IC- CFA at the forefront of change by offer- ing our graduates the opportunity to learn how to host events that will make their cli- ent families feel like individuals and their needs understood.” Bolton is uniquely qualified to serve as dean of the College of Hospitality and Event Management. A student of The Ritz-Carlton, Chick-fil-A, and Pike Place Fish Market hospitality training pro- grams, Bolton brings his passion for cus- tomer service, along with a deep knowl- edge of our industry to this new ICCFA University offering.
