Each urn is built using tongue and groove joints with the bottom opening attached using four screws. Sol- id woods include authen- tic reclaimed barn wood, genuine Missouri cedar, solid oak, rich cherry, dis- tinctive grey elm, solid hickory, genuine deep-hued mahogany, premium walnut, and woods of the Mid- west constructed using wood from eight different species of trees native to the Midwest. Urns come in a variety of sizes, including small or pet-sized urns that are 5.5” long by 4” wide by 4” high with a capacity of 88 cubic inches. The human urns are 9” long by 6” wide by 6” high with an interi- or capacity of 324 cubic inches. The Amish Urn Shop can custom craft large or equine urns that are 15” long by 13” wide by 10” high with a capacity large enough to hold the re- mains of a 1500- lb. horse.
