He still leans on tradition and “old school” beliefs, and he lives by the principle that families, when faced with the loss of a loved one, should rely on other families for help during their time of need. The Se- gal Funeral Home is family owned and operated and is there for families – always. In October of 2020, the Segal Funeral Home, located in Tampa, FL announced their merger with the Epstein family, owners of Hodroff-Epstein Memorial Chapels with locations in Minneapolis and St.Paul, MN; Epstein Memorial Chapel of Columbus, OH; and Louis Me- morial Chapel in Kansas City, MO. “The proliferation of large death care corporations in- spired us to seek out this opportunity,” Chuck explains. “As we approach our 35th year, this merger will bring lon- gevity, continued dedication, and expanded professional An avid professional car enthusiast, Segal is pictured in between his classic 1956 Cadillacs, two of sev- eral vintage vehicles in the firm’s fleet Segal Funeral Home service to our community. We have built our reputation as a service entity and the Epsteins share this philosophy of personalized service and accountability,” he says. Henry Epstein is no stranger to the acquisition of well- established firms and orchestrating a smooth transition, even across states and across the country. Over the years, the Segals and the Epsteins have spent quality time to- gether at industry conferences and have agreed that this opportunity just makes sense. Together, they have three generations of funeral service professionals implementing the best practices, nurturing relationships, and making a difference to those who place their confidence in their care. Chuck expressed, “I am excited about this partner- ship of two family-owned funeral home operations and look forward to a rewarding and prosperous future.” Continued on Page A20 Henry Epstein TAMPA,FL—Charles D. “Chuck” Segal be- gan his career in the funeral industry when Wreaths Across America 2020 See Page A4 G arden of R emembrance (G an Z ikaron ) C elebrates 20 th Y ear See Page A18 “I Cherish Our Time Together!” C olumnist Chris Kuhnen to R etire See Page A6 www.nomispublications.com Classified Ads Shipping Directory Index of Advertisers
