A licensed funeral director and embalmer, he worked for Gary’s Funeral Home for 52 years. Gary graduated from the Kentucky Embalming School. MARY H. ROBERSON of Bradenton, FL died March 29, 2022 at the age of 100. In 1972 she joined the staff of Griffith-Cline Funeral Home where she worked as an attendant and secretary, retiring at the age of 96. JACK LARRY ROWE of League City, TX died April 18, 2022 at the age of 71. He was a longtime funeral director at Jack Rowe Funeral Home. EUGENE “GENE” SALOOM of Mt. Pleasant Township, PA died May 15, 2022 at the age of 87. He and his late wife, Nancy established Eugene G. Saloom Funeral Home in 1960, which they jointly operated for more than forty years. Saloom graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1955. CARL E. SEYMOUR of Potsdam, NY died June 7, 2022 at the age of 94. He was a longtime funeral director and former owner of Seymour Funeral Home. FRED “FREDDIE” TEMPLETON JR of Prairie Grove, AR died May 24, 2022 at the age of 81. He worked for Rumph Mortuary in El Dorado as a licensed funeral director. Templeton graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. RICHARD “SKIP”WYCKOFF of Reno, NV died May 23, 2022 at the age of 89. A funeral director, he succeeded his father at Ross, Burke & Knoble Funeral Home. SANDRA (REID) SANTOS of Akron, OH died May 27, 2022 at the age of 81. A licensed funeral director since 1976, she was born into the Reid Funeral his wife, Joyce purchased Timeon Funeral Homes in Perry and Yale. Since 1990, they solely ran Murdock Funeral Home in Perry. A 1975 graduate of the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and the Iowa Funeral Directors Association, where he was awarded his ruby pin for 40 years of service in 2016. STEPHENWRAY MURDOCK of Perry, IA died June 9, 2022 at the age of 72. He began working at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines, IA. In 1978, Steve and McVeigh Funeral Home, which he operated for over sixty years. A 1961 graduate of the Simmons School of Mortuary Science, he was a former president of the Albany-Rensselaer Funeral Directors Association as well as the New York State Funeral Directors Association and served as regional governor for the National Funeral Directors Association. WILLIAM “BILL” E. MCVEIGH of Albany, NY died May 30, 2022 at the age of 87. He joined his father as a third-generation funeral director at the NC died May 21, 2022 at the age of 94.
