JOHN WHITE CROXTON of Cincinnati, OH, died May 25, 2021 at the age of 91. A funeral director and em- balmer for sixty-four years, he owned and operated the T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home. MICHAEL HUGHES of Adel, GA died May 14, 2021 at the age of 47. He was a funeral director for twenty-t years at both Boone and Purvis Fu- neral Home. JOHNBRENTONMAYNARD of Little River, SC died May 31, 2021 at the age of 68. A retired funeral director, he worked at the Harmer’s Funeral Home in Shinnston, WV for several years before purchasing the Sample- O’Donnell Funeral Home in Sharon, PA in 1991. He sold the business in 2015. CHARLIE ALBERT REID JR of Augusta, GA died May 14, 2021. He worked alongside his father, Charlie Sr at Blount and Reid Funeral Home. In 1987, after his father’s death, Charlie renamed the firm C. A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home. He graduated from the Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service. PETER WADSWORTH of Framingham, MA died April 14, 2021 at the age of 79. A funeral director, he owned and operated his family’s firm, Wadsworth Funeral Home, now Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services until his retirement in 2003. with a degree in mortuary sci- ence from the University of Min- nesota in 1973 and was appoint- ed the president of the State Board of Mortuary Science by former governor Jim McGreevy. He was a member of the New jersey State Funeral Directors As- sociation and the Essex, Union and West Hudson Funeral Direc- tors Association, which he served as president from 1997-1998. RICHARD J. GALANTE JR of Union, NJ died May 19, 2021 at the age of 69. He worked with his family as a third-generation funeral director for the Galante Funer- al Home in Union his entire life. Galante Jr graduated established by his parents, Wal- ter F. and Lillian Kelly. A grad- uate of the New England Insti- tute of Funeral Service, he was past president of the former Greater Worcester Funeral Direc- tors Association, a member of the National Funeral Directors Asso- ciation, Cremation Association of North America, and the Massa- chusetts Funeral Directors Asso- ciation , where he served on its board of directors. JAMES B. KELLY of Worcester, MA died June 1, 2021 at the age of 65. A third-generation funeral director for forty-seven years, he owned and operated the Kelly Fu- neral Home and Bereavement Care Center, which was til it closed in 2003. Saxton also acquired and developed several cemeteries and was an advisor for the first memorial park in Japan. A member for over six- ty years, Saxton was president of the Pennsylvania Crematory, Cremation and Funeral Associa- tion and the International Cem- etery, Cremation and Funeral As- sociation, where he received its Hall of Fame award. SAM SAXTON of Allentown, PA died June 5, 2021 at the age of 95. He worked alongside his father in own- ing and operating the Cedar Hill Memorial Park un- business, acquiring the Stewart Funeral Home, Ricardo Me- morial Home and the Roccio- la Funeral Home. THOMAS “TOM” GENTILE of Hackensack, NJ, died May 23, 2021 at the age of 72. A funeral director for over forty years, he began working the funeral busi- ness every summer throughout his high school years. In the mid-1970s, Tom purchased the former Grom- ley Community Funeral Home. RICHARD ANTHONY KULESZA of Monroe Township, NJ died June 6, 2021 at the age of 92. He was the third generation of his family to work in the rector, he was the former co- owner of Twiford Funeral Homes and was president of the North Carolina Funeral Directors Association in 1989. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, he taught at the Gupton Jones School of Mortuary Science for several years and became dean of the college. SAM A. TWIFORD JR of Elizabeth City, NC died May 28, 2021 at the age of 77. JEFFERSON D. “JD” INGRAM of Ridgeland, MS died February 9, 2021 at the age of 74. He founded censed funeral director for 37 years, he worked alongside his brother Carl A.
