I’m excited to see Santosh continue his passion with FDMS customers as he has since 2006.” With over a decade of ex- perience at FDMS, Santosh is honored to have had the opportunity to step into the role of full ownership and looks forward to what 2020 and the coming years will bring to the software with the current momentum the company has. “I’ve been with FDMS since 2006, and it’s always been a dream of mine to have the opportunity to take these solutions to the next level,” says Chaudhary, new owner of FDMS, “My working relationship with Johnson has been great. Working alongside him prepared me for this transi- tion, and I am thankful.” In 2015, FDMS Hold- ings, LLC acquired FDMS with Jake Johnson as major- ity owner. Chaudhary has also been a partner/owner since 2015 and has worked closely on developments that resulted in major improve- ments for FDMS. A few of the initial updates included the rewrite of source code and application framework. In 2016, additional de- velopment resources were hired that continued to move the needle and result- ed in FDMS having a di- saster recovery process and a seamless integration with well-known products, in- cluding Johnson Consulting Group’s Performance Track- er software. More recently, in 2018 FDMS added new product features, including inventory tracking, docu- ment storage, sales tax re- porting, automated resourc- es, and custom reports. “Santosh Chaudhary is a fantastic business partner,” says Jake Johnson, “I know the software will continue to be in great hands with San- tosh at the helm.” “This year several major updates went live, including new sidebar navigation, 50 plus newly designed reports and forms and more excit- ing design and user-friend- ly improvements, including the launch of My Data Set and enhancements to the service and relatives tab,” says Chaudhary. As for 2020 updates to FDMS, there are plenty of reasons current FDMS cli- ents should be looking for- wardtothe future, as thereare many exciting updates in the roadmap that will continue to improve user experience. FDMS has been provid- ing funeral home case man- agement software solutions since 1981 and is owned and operated by some of the most experienced funer- al professionals in the indus- try. As the first of its kind, FDMS offers expertise and technical capabilities that meet the needs of individ- ual or multi-location funer- al homes across the United States and Canada. BAY SHORE,NY— The Mortuary Mag- ic Store is proud to announce the Bucketh- ead Embalming Machine . Following a year of development, the Frankembalm is the first and only syringe style embalming machine with the capability to quantify pressure fil- tration, a formerly unknown variable in the embalming process. The Buckethead was designed utilizing the knowledge and technology of the vari- ous items available at the Magic Store, in- cluding the Frankembalm machine. While the Buckethead uses framework of the most common embalming machines centrifugal pump designs, Buckethead’s design features pump speed control, all new patented pres- sure pulse and true pressure technologies. Buckethead is available in two models, C1 and C2, distinguishing how many tanks the machine has. The operator may easily flip a switch to toggle between a 4.5 gallon buck- et and a 1 gallon bucket. This feature offers the embalmer the advantage of receiving the benefit of preinjection surfactants being in- troduced prior to preservative chemicals, ob- taining the most value for their time. True pressure technology means while a valve is closed on the machine, the measure- ment of pressure is a true representation of the force of fluid being displaced into the human body. Pressure pulse technology en- courages the vascular venturi effect. A ven- turi is a physics term introduced by scientist Daniel Bernouli, which for purposes of em- balming decreases the pressure demand per case and supports single point injection or positive fluid distribution within the human body. The injection output pressure and flow is controlled by a valve and pump speed controller enabling the embalmer to easily achieve the results desired. A vented snap on top allows chemical fumes to be contained in the machine and a plastic basin resists trou- blesome stains from dyes. Clear fluid level markings and a removable filter clearly dem- onstrates this design was a creation from an embalmer with boots on the ground. J.M. Bernaudo , CFSP has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 2008. He holds an Associates Degree in Applied Mortuary Science and has extensive field ex- pertise. He developed the FuneralNav App , The Funeral Price Tool , along with many inno- vative products that aid today’s embalmers.
