Allen Memorial Home: Innovation
since 1884
Cremations Services, Inc
.
was established, offering
cremation services to area
funeral homes. In 2014
Simplicity Cremations,
LLC
was established for
families looking for a sim-
ple cremation service.
The funeral home’s trade-
mark is the color of their
fleet. In 1971 Jack Clar-
ey being a true “Irishman”
had the idea of changing
the fleet color from black
to green. Again, most of
Jack’s colleagues thought
this would be suicide. It
was a hit with the fami-
lies they served. Everyone
in the community when
asked, “Who has the green
fleet?” replied “Allen!”
Mark Rollo
and
Chris
Putrino
are the current
principles, with well over
30 years with the firm.
Joining them are directors
Dan Balles
,
Marty DiPi-
etro
and
Matt Rollo
. Al-
len Memorial Home’s phi-
losophy, starting with J.R.,
then with Ward and Jack,
and now with Mark and
Chris, is: “Be a trendset-
ter, or you will spend all
your time trying to catch
up. Offer the best possible
services and facilities to the
families you are privileged
to serve, as well as the com-
munity you’re in.”
