SAN FRANCISCO,CA—
Passare, Inc.,
a trusted and rel-
evant source for end-of-life planning and management,
has announced the release of its newest resource How-
to Guide:
“Preparing for a Loved One’s End-of-Life.”
Re-
leased as the 17th in a series designed to provide infor-
mation, advice and counsel on end-of-life matters, the
new eBook focuses on how to manage the different stag-
es of a loved one’s end-of-life.
While facing end-of-life is difficult and painful, mak-
ing the proper preparations can ease burdens and pro-
vide comfort for both the loved one as well as support-
ing friends and family. Passare’s new eBook aims to help
families gain peace of mind and focus on the time that
they have with loved ones approaching end-of-life by
offering perspectives and advice on making thoughtful
preparations and clarifying final wishes.
“Having conversations about end-of-life with your
loved ones as early as possible in the process helps re-
duce stress. Preparing both your loved one and yourself
for end-of-life allows you to focus on the present and
appreciate the time you have left together,” commented
Nancy Rust,
co-founder of
Y Collaborative,
a consultan-
cy specializing in end-of-life education and planning.
Passare’s new guide provides detailed suggestions on
handling each stage of a loved one’s end-of-life—from
accepting a loved one’s condition and managing docu-
ments and tasks to selecting the best care tailored to-
wards individual needs and giving and receiving sup-
port after the passing of a loved one.
The passing of a loved one may evoke a range of
emotions, from relief to sadness. The How-to Guide,
“Preparing for a Loved One’s End-of-Life,” includes
a helpful checklist for coping with life without loved
one, with suggestions including joining a bereavement
support group, getting involved in a new activity, es-
tablishing a tribute or memorial, or talking to a grief
counselor.
The guide also includes suggestions for honoring a
loved one in the years to come, such as planting a tree
in a loved one’s name, finishing a project the deceased
was working on, and planning a memorial service or
candle light vigil on the anniversary of their passing.
