Trigard Interactive Unveils New
Funeral Home App with iBeacon
Technology
DANVILLE,IL—
The reg-
ister book waiting line is
about to change forever.
Trigard
Interactive will un-
veil its new app during the
2014
NFDA
International
Convention and Expo in
Nashville, TN. Expo at-
tendees are invited to visit
Trigard booth #2030 for a
live demonstration.
The app goes far beyond a
mobile version of a funeral
home website. The flagship
feature uses iBeacon tech-
nology to tackle the prob-
lem of people waiting in a
long line to sign the register
book at visitations. In the
comfort of their own home,
people can download their
funeral home’s customized
app. They fill out a one-
time only form in the “My
Details” section, then either
select a preset condolence
message or take their time
composing a personal mes-
sage for the family. They
save all of this information
to the app. When they ar-
rive at the visitation and be-
gin to near the registration
book, their smartphone will
automatically ask to trans-
mit their previously saved
information to the registry
via Bluetooth. With a sim-
ple push to the yes button,
their message is transmitted
instantly.
Another key feature of the
app is the ability to send
out push notifications to
users, alerting them to up-
coming community events,
specials or other news. The
app keeps people in the
community connected to
their funeral home, which
can help generate pre-need
leads. There are three pack-
ages available to help fu-
neral homes find the right
amount of technology that
best meets the needs of the
families they serve. All pack-
ages are competitively priced
and significantly more cost-
effective than an individual
funeral home hiring an in-
dependent app developer.
Trigard Interactive is a
new partnership between
Trigard and
Appitized,
which specializes in high-
tech tools to help increase
funeral home revenue by
targeting the next genera-
tion of consumers.
The partnership between
the two companies is ide-
al. Appitized is a leading
app development agency,
specializing in mobile ap-
plications for iPhone, An-
droid and Windows plat-
forms. Trigard, best known
for burial vaults and high-
ly detailed bronze memo-
rials, brings four genera-
tions of funeral experience
to the partnership. But this
doesn’t mean that the new
app is available only to Tri-
gard customers.
“At Trigard, we offer so
much more than prod-
ucts,”
Rich Darby,
Tri-
gard’s chief operating of-
ficer and licensed funeral
director, explained. “My
family works in the funer-
al business every day. We
understand the challenges
that funeral homes are fac-
ing today. This partnership
with Appitized allows us to
bring world-class technolo-
gy tools that are a perfect fit
for our unique industry.”
Trigard is a family owned
and operated business based
in Danville, IL that has ca-
tered to the varying needs
of the death care industry
since the 1960s. Trigard

marketplace.
For those that can’t wait
for the NFDA Expo to un-
veil its new app, should
