Passare Presents a How-to Guide:
eBook Delves Into Details of Preparing
for Long-Term Support
Passare also announced the addition of a
comprehensive resource on long-term care
titled “Long-Term Care Options and Plan-
ning.” This is a recent eBook in Passare’s on-
going series, which aims to help readers ex-
plore options, understand the process and
ultimately plan for End-of-Life management.
According to the eBook, long-term care
provides a certain freedom to people who
can no longer manage everyday tasks on their
own due to aging, chronic conditions, dis-
ability, or other factors. Long-term care pro-
viders assist people with routine tasks such
as eating, bathing, and dressing — with the
goal of helping people live as independently
as possible.
The guide discusses a wide range of long-
term care options to fit each individual’s
unique needs. Some include: independent
living with in-home care, assisted living,
skilled nursing care, home-based care, pri-
vate nursing, community-based care, sup-
portive housing programs, adult day services,
senior centers, adult foster care, assisted liv-
ing centers, retirement communities, nursing
homes, and hospices, to name a few.
Passare’s How-to Guide for Long-Term
Care Options and Planning describes a mul-
titude of available options, as well as high-
lights different government programs to as-
sist care planning. This resource comes with
a 3-page planning checklist and a Frequent-
ly Asked Questions (FAQ) section to help
people better understand and navigate long-
term care options. The guide was written
by Passare, in collaboration with Passare ex-
pert contributor Karen Kelleher, an End-of-
Life healthcare professional specializing in
the field of Geriatrics. For more information
