NFDA Releases Spanish-Language Edition of Facial
Reconstruction Textbook
BROOKFIELD,WI—
The
National Funeral Direc-
tors Association
(NFDA)
has released a Spanish-lan-
guage translation of the
popular
“Art of Facial Re-
construction”
(“El Arte del
Reconstrucción Facial”)
textbook by
Gary Sokoll.
This is the second Span-
ish-language translation of
a technical skills textbook
that NFDA has published;
last year, the association re-
leased a translation of the
profession’s premier em-
balming text book
“Em-
balming: History, Theory,
and Practice”
(“Embalsa-
mamiento: Historia, Teo-
ría y Prâctica”) by
Rob-
ert G. Mayer,
which was
made possible by a grant
from the Heritage Club.
“NFDA is pleased to pro-
vide funeral professionals
who speak Spanish with
textbooks in their native
language. It fills an impor-
tant need for funeral pro-
fessionals in Central and
South America and oth-
er parts of the world and
helps them meet the needs
of the families they serve,”
said NFDA internation-
al project manager
Corey
Eggers.
Sokoll’s textbook offers
step-by-step instructions
for reconstructing the
nose, mouth, eyes and ears
when a decedent has expe-
rienced trauma to the face
or when decomposition is
present.
NFDA is the world’s
leading and largest funeral
service association, serving
19,700 individual mem-
bers who represent more
than 10,000 funeral homes
in the United States and
39 countries around the
world. NFDA is the trust-
ed leader, beacon for ethics
and the strongest advocate
for the profession. NFDA
is the association of choice
because it offers funeral
professionals comprehen-
sive educational resources,
tools to manage successful
businesses, guidance to be-
come pillars in their com-
munities and the expertise
to foster future generations
of funeral professionals.
NFDA is headquartered in
Brookfield, WI, and has an
office in Washington, DC.
Both books can be ordered
through the NFDA Re-
