CCMS Utilizes New
Funeral Planning
Software System
Mercer County Community College Funeral Service
Class of 2013
Moore named
Northampton Director
of Funeral Service
Education
NEWS
Educational
CINCINNATI,OH—
The
Cincinnati College of
Mortuary Science
has
come up with a way to uti-
lize a high-tech funeral plan-
ning software system into
their Capstone curriculum
starting this school year.
Ad-
visor
by
Aurora Casket
, will
allow students to prepare
themselves for the future
of funeral planning. What
used to be recorded on pen
and paper can now be re-
corded on any Wi-Fi device
with cloud capabilities.
In their last term at
CCMS, students are put
into teams and assigned
a scenario in which they
must plan and execute an
entire mock funeral. In-
stead of recording and
planning this assignment
the old fashioned way, stu-
dents are able to use Advi-
sor to collaborate from vir-
tually anywhere; making
planning easier, more orga-
nized, and interactive.
“Our students are so ac-
customed to using technol-
ogy in their daily lives that
this program will come
as no shock to them, but
more of a help. As gener-
ations become more tech-
proficient, the traditional
funeral planning process
will go away. We are pre-
paring our students for
the future of our industry,”
said
Joe Main
, Instructor
and Clinical Supervisor at
CCMS.
Advisor is already revo-
lutionizing the funeral in-
dustry and is preparing
CCMS and other directors
for the future of their in-
dustry. For more informa-
