Bailey Fu- neral Home in Wallingford, CT was originally established by Daniel Gris- wold as the Griswold Funeral Home in 1879. It is the oldest continually operated business in the community. Griswold operated the establishment until retiring in 1912 when he sold the company to Carl W. Bailey. When Carl’s son Benjamin C. Bailey joined the family business in 1934, the name was changed to C.W. Bailey & Son Funeral Home.
