Postell, II UNION CITY,GA— National Funer- al Directors and Morticians Associa- tion, Inc (NFD&MA) honored Rever- end Henry L. Postell, II as the Robert H. Miller 2018 Professional of the Year. This black-tie event took place during the 81st Annual Conven- tion of the NFD&MA at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, FL. Moni- ca May of Star 94.5 served as the mistress of ceremo- ny for that  evening of honor and recognition and national recording artist, Smokie Norful per- formed. A native of Oakland, FL, Reverend Postell is the owner and operator of Postell’s Mortuary in Orlando, FL, which has served the Central Florida community since 1991. He also serves as a pastor and builder in the African Methodist Epis- copal Church, Central Florida Confer- ence–Eleventh Episcopal District. The Robert H. Miller Professional of the Year Award is given in recognition of one individual who has exemplified excel- lence through their commitment to fu- neral and public service. Presiding Elder Henry L. Postell, II has dedicated his life to ensuring that the be- reaved families of Central Florida are rendered ser- vices of care, quality, and professionalism. A partner in education, community advocate and supporter of numerous civic organiza- tions, churches, and youth groups, Reverend Postell provided generous con- tributes to the Orlando Rescue Mission, Feeding the Homeless Coalition and the Salvation Army Annual Thanksgiving and Christmas Outreach Min- istries. Reverend Postell also assisted fam- ilies with providing no-cost services for still born infants to families in need. He has without a doubt given much to the surrounding communities of Orlando.
