celebrates 75 Years
son,
Chris Smyth
, has worked for the fam-
ily business for 12 years and now runs the
family owned crematory.
The firm has a longtime dedicated team,
including
John Moore,
with 40 years of
service; and
DonnaWatson,
with 14 years.
They welcome their newest associates, re-
tired
Pastor Ray Shopp
and
Matt Pedro-
ni.
The Wilsons remember
Bill Hawke,
whose 43 years of faithful service will long
be appreciated.
In 1972, Josie Terzich was honored as
Northern California’s oldest funeral di-
rector by the California Funeral Directors
Association. Mrs. Terzich passed away in
1974, and Holly passed away in 2003, but
their traditional value of dedicated com-
munity service continues.

to recognize its president
and chief operating offi-
cer,
Genevieve Keeney,
on the recent receipt of
her Master of Science in
Non-profit and Associa-
tion Management from
the
University of Mary-
land.
This education-
al achievement joins two
other degrees, including
an Associate’s in Applied
Science and Bachelor’s in
Psychology, in addition
to a host of additional
certifications and licenses
related to the funeral in-
dustry.

ticher, Sr.,
D.H.L. said,
“We are extremely proud
of Genevieve for this mo-
mentous milestone. Her
knowledge and experi-
ence in both the funeral
service industry and non-
profit community gives
our Museum added cred-
ibility as a leader in muse-
um communities around
the country.”
Keeney, who has been
with the Museum since
2007, first serving as the
museum’s director in 2007
and then becoming its
president and COO in
2012, was driven to pur-
sue this degree so she could
better serve the non-profit
museum and bring addi-
