In her new position, she will lead the team responsible for all aspects of Homesteaders’ marketing and branding. Burmeister will take over the marketing leadership reins from Dean Lambert, who will be transitioning to a new role within the company on August 1. “I am grateful for the support and development opportunities afforded me throughout my time at Homesteaders and feel very fortunate to work alongside an incredibly talented and hard-working team,” Burmeister explained. “I look forward to the opportunity to assume a more strategic role as our team works to support our company’s success and that of our funeral home customers, agents and affiliates.” Outgoing vice president of marketing communications Dean Lambert affirmed Burmeister’s appointment. “Among the mere handful of individuals who have held the position of vice president of marketing throughout its 116-year history, Burmeister will be the youngest individual, and the first woman, to lead the department,” he observed. “She is fully capable of assuming responsibility for evolving the Homesteaders brand and will thrive as the organization broadens its go-to-market strategy to include greater consumer outreach. I am very excited to support her promotion and feel fortunate to witness the next generation of marketing leadership in action at Homesteaders.” Burmeister has a Bachelor’s Degree from Central College in Pella, IA, and a Master’s Degree from Iowa State University.
