A graduate of the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, he was a member and past president of the Metropolitan Funeral Directors Association and the New York State Funeral Directors Association. ELLEN JUNE DOMICO of Fairmont, WV died April 14, 2022 at the age of 91. She received her funeral directors and embalmers apprentice certificate in 1971. She owned and operated Domico Funeral Home alongside her husband, Nick since 1957. DAVID GRADY MOSS of Cullman, AL died April 5, 2022 at the age of 80. He worked for his father, Grady at Moss Service Funeral Home, where he retired in 1993. Moss served as Cullman County coroner. KEITH E. PATTILLO of Cullman, AL died April 5, 2022 at the age of 75. During his college years, he worked part-time at Moss Funeral Home. After his retirement from education, Pattillo joined Moss Service Funeral Home full time, where he remained until his passing. BENJAMIN A. UNDERWOOD of Louisville, KY died April 22, 2022 at the age of 83. A funeral director and embalmer for almost fifty years, he was the co-founder, co-owner and president of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home. His start in the funeral profession began when he purchased Neurath Funeral Home. Shortly thereafter, Underwood acquired Schoppenhorst Bros, which he eventually sold, opening the location at Brooks with his mother, Hallie Kruse. In 2013, he purchased the Hardy-Close Funeral Home in downtown Shepherdsville and in 2015 a funeral home in Mount Washington was built with the help of his son, Zane. Underwood graduated from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science. SHERELL RENAWESTON of Baton Rouge, LA died April 30, 2022 at the age of 49. She was a funeral director and embalmer at Winnfield Funeral Home in Baton Rouge. JAMES GABBERT “GABBY” WILLIAMSON JR of SoddyDaisy, TN died April 18, 2022 at the age of 76. A Tennessee and Georgia funeral director and embalmer, he worked at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, having served the community and surrounding areas for most of his life. Williamson graduated from the John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science in 1966. and Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery. A 1977 graduate of the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, he received his Certified Funeral Service Professional designation and his Certified Preplanning consultant designation from the National Funeral Directors Association. In 2018 Russell received recognition for 40 years of dedicated service to the funeral profession at the Missouri Funeral Directors and Embalmers GREGORY “GREG” DAVID RUSSELL of St. Thomas, MO died April 18, 2022 at the age of 66. A licensed funeral director and embalmer for over 45 years, he operated Russell Colonial Funeral Home alongside his parents. Russell started St. Clair Monument Company convention, which he was a member and served as president from 1994-1995. COMEAU of Marlborough, MA died May 5, 2022 at the age of 56. A licensed funeral director for fifty years, he joined his family’s business on Abbott Road, which his father opened in 1948. McMahon sold the building in 2013 and in recent years served clients from Sieck, Mast & Leslie Funeral Home in West Seneca. He earned an associate’s degree in mortuary science from Farmingdale State College. CHARLES F. MCMAHON JR of South Buffalo, NY died April 8, 2022 at the age of 69. A funeral di1959, he was the owner and operator of Webb Noonan Funeral Home for more than fifty years. He sold the business in 2000. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Noonan was recognized by the Ohio Funeral Directors Association for his five decades service in 2012. JAMES R. “JIM” NOONAN of Hamilton, OH died May 2, 2022 at the age of 85. A funeral director since side his father at the JohnsonPeterson Funeral Home. A 1975 graduate of the University of Minnesota, he served as an at-large representative for the National Funeral Directors Association and was president of the Minnesota Funeral Directors Association from 1993-1994 and again from 2008-2009. VISS of Copperas Cove, TX died May 7, 2022 at the age of 45.
