FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY NEWS www.NomisPublications.com Monthly Columnsonline at 2023 Professional Car Society 46th International Meet entrance from the Holiday Inn, the PCS Meet’s host hotel. The Classic Auto Mall’s website, www.classicautomall.com, includes the vehicle inventory and is currently showing over 900 vehicles, both collectible vehicles and barn finds. When I was first made aware of this place, I spent over 30 minutes looking through the vehicles. It also delayed the writing of this column because I spent more time than I should have looking through the vehicles again. I have added this place to my bucket list. The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is the second reason and is a scheduled event destination. The tour will be held on Wednesday, August 9. The museum also preserves local road transportation history, as almost all of the vehicles were built in Pennsylvania. The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is housed in the former home of the Boyertown Auto Body Works, which had continuous operations on this site from 1872-1990. The museum includes vehicles of all types. Their website is www.boyertownmuseum.org. I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention the members’ car show. I have only been to one, but thoroughly enjoyed The Professional Car Society’s 46th International Meet is being held in Morgantown, Pennsylvania from August 8 through August 12, 2023. If you are a car lover, this is one not to miss. If I were a member, I would be there, but unfortunately, I don’t have a professional car which somewhat diminishes my reason to be a member. I am writing about attending for two main reasons: the Classic Auto Mall and Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles. I am mentioning it now in advance because the host hotel is joined with the Classic Auto Mall and may sell out quickly. The Classic Auto Mall is a vehicle consignment house. It offers showroom space for 1,000 vehicles for sale and 400 barn finds on display. The vehicles for sale are either collectable or special interest vehicles. It also is reported to house one of the finest barn finds collections in the world. The building is climate controlled and a destination for car lovers. As mentioned, the Auto Mall has a walk-through it and hope to get to another someday. The car show will be on Saturday, August 12.
