DELIBERATO of Garfield Heights, OH died February 13, 2020 at the age of 81. A licensed funeral director and embalm- er, he owned and operated the Golubski Deliberato Funer- al Home since 1971. He was a member of the Cuyahoga Funeral Directors Association, Ohio Funer- al Directors Association and the Cleveland Embalmers Association. J.S. HENDERSON of Nor- phlet, AR died February 24, 2020 at the age of 84. A li- censed funeral director, he worked alongside his uncle, A.C. Henderson, founder of Henderson’s Mortuary in Magnolia. RUTH MARIE PAUL of Wil- liamsburg, KY died Febru- ary 14, 2020 at the age of 84. A funeral director for 40 years, she and her husband, Carl Paul purchased Ellison Funeral Home in 1971 and continued to own and oper- ate it until 2014. MICHAEL WAYNE RANDOLPH of Washington Court House, OH died February 19, 2020 at the age of 39. He was a funeral director and embalmer at the McColaugh Funeral Home in Xenia for eleven years. Most recently, he worked at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield. He gradu- ated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. CATHERINE LENA “KAY” SAGARINO of New Britain, CT and Hallandale, FL died February 27, 2020 at the age of 97. In 1950, she and her late husband, Donald D. Sagarino established the Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home in New Britain. She continued to own and oper- ate it as a licensed funeral director until retiring to Flori- da, where she consulted for a local funeral home. THOMAS “TOM” SAWYER of Bel- leville, IL died December 16, 2019 at the age of 80. A retired deputy cor- oner for St. Clair County, he was co- owner of Sawyer Ambulance and Livery Service since 1967. Sawyer worked alongside his son and grand- sons in operating the family business and was a member of the St. Clair County Funeral Directors Association. FRANK M. SCHMIDT of Reading, OH died March 6, 2020 at the age of 75. He was a licensed funeral director at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funer- al Home. WILLIAM B. “BILL” SEARCY of Enterprise, AL died Febru- ary 27, 2020 at the age of 68. He was a licensed third genera- tion funeral director, embalm- er and cremationist at Searcy Funeral Home and Cremato- ry for over 40 years. He gradu- ated from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science. LESTER GLENN WINTER of Tallmadge, OH died Febru- ary 13, 2020 at the age of 82. A licensed funeral director and embalmer, he was a sales representative for the Dodge Chemical Company for 34 years. He retired in 2005. RICHARD G. “DICK” BUMA of Milford, MA died March 7, 2020 at the age of 74. A li- censed funeral director since 1973, he purchased Sargeant Funeral Home in 1974. To- day Buma Funeral Homes has locations in Milford, Ux- bridge and Whitinsville. He graduated from the New Eng- land Institute in Boston. A. LEE RICHARDS of Jupiter, FL died February 12, 2020 at the age of 81. A fifth gen- eration funeral director, he worked alongside his father and grandfather at the Rich- ards Funeral Home in River- dale. In 1972, he expanded the facility to include a sec- ond location in West Milford. A 1957 graduate of the McAl- lister Institute of Funeral Service, he was a member of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association. RALPH E. WAITE of Medina, OH died February 18, 2020 at the age of 93. A funeral director, he worked along- side his father, Harold El- liot Waite at the Waite & Son Funeral Home. He con- tinued to own and operate the family business for over 50 years. A graduate of the Cleveland School of Mortuary Science, he was presi- dent of the Tri County Funeral Directors Association. HARVEY ALLEN “H.A.” ROBERSON of Bethany, MO died February 23, 2020 at the age of 87. A licensed third gen- eration funeral director and em- balmer for over 61 years, he served his apprenticeship with his father, Orris Lee Roberson at the Roberson Funeral Home in Jamesport. He worked along- side his wife, Suzanne for 40 years, growing a fourth genera- tion family business. In 1959, they purchased the Gromer Funeral Home in Pattonsburg and continued to expand their services into Bethany and Gilman City with the pur- chase of the Haas Funeral Home in 1967. A partnership was formed with the Noble family and they began operat- ing the Noble-Roberson Funeral Home in New Hamp- ton. After retiring in 1994, he continued to remain active in the funeral home until his health failed. A graduate of the John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the Missouri Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association, where he served as president from 1987-1988 and bestowed the Robert Knell Leadership Award as well as the SamWalton Business Leadership Award. WILLIAM CONAN “BILL” COYLE of Holland, OH died Febru- ary 11, 2020 at the age of 86. A funeral director, he worked alongside his father, William, his uncle Jim, and brother Joe at the James Coyle and Son Funeral Home, eventu- ally rising to the position of owner and president. Bill re- tired in 1999. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, he was a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. MARK L. DAMES of Joliet, IL died February 8, 2020 at the age of 87. He worked alongside his father, Fred and brother, Joel at the Fred C. Dames Fu- neral Home until his father’s passing in 1962. His sons, Jef- frey, Brian and Fred continue the family’s legacy. Mark re- mained involved in the busi- ness following his retirement in 2002. A graduate of the Worsham College of Mortuary Science, he was a 50 year award recipient and a lifetime member of the Illinois Funeral Directors Association.
