He was a panelist for the Hospice Foundation of America Teleconference: “Leaving Legacies: Spiritual Mean- ing-Making at the End of Life.” Larry was named the Young Funeral Direc- tor of the Year by the Cal- ifornia Funeral Directors NAPA,CA— International Memorialization Supply Association (ISMA) is pleased to announce Larry Mi- chael as the newest member of their board of trustees. Michael, a senior business consultant with Johnson Consulting Group, graduated from Cypress Mortuary College and earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in business management from California Lutheran Univer- sity. He has been in the funeral and cemetery profession for 30 years working for both privately and publicly held funeral home and cemetery companies with areas of re- sponsibility as large as 50 firms and 600 employees. Mi- chael has assisted thousands of families over the years as a licensed funeral director, embalmer, cemetery man- ager and crematory man- ager. In January 2018 he joined JCG and provides consulting services for cli- ents throughout North American and abroad. Michael was past presi- dent and board member of the Gold Coast Funer- al Directors Association in California, past mem- Association for 1999-2000. He has received numerous awards for his work with the YMCA, Rotary Interna- tional and American Diabetes Association.
