Michael Andrade comes to Dodge with a wide range of experience dating back to 2000 when he began working at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, CA as a night attendant while attending mortuary school. In August 2001 he graduated Cypress College with honors. He served his apprenticeship at Oakdale Mortuary, eventually achieving his license as an embalmer, funeral director, and crematory manager in the state of California. While at Oakdale, Michael was exposed to all phases of funeral service, becoming the care center supervisor in 2013. He also was involved with the firm’s community outreach programs, career days, and assisted in a program called Teen Solutions, a program designed to help troubled teens. In 2014 Michael’s professional career changed direction, and he began a career at the San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office. While there, he assisted in autopsies and became certified as a death investigator. In 2017, he left the medical examiner’s office and returned to active funeral service. Most recently, he was employed by the Riverside Care Center where he served as supervisor, care center and crematory manager. When not working, Michael coaches and referees youth soccer, plays guitar, and collects 45s and LP vinyl. Michael has assumed George Turner’s territory in West Central California following his well-deserved retirement. Tim Collison, Dodge’s Chief Operating Officer, said “with Mike’s experience in training other embalmers and care center managers, he will be a valuable asset to all of our customers in West Central California. He is organized and detail oriented, which will work well in this busy environment.” Nathan Shaw joined Dodge’s team of sales representatives in January 2023, assuming Brent Elazier’s territory in Eastern Lower Michigan after his retirement in October of last year. Nathan graduated from the Wayne State University Department of Mortuary Science Program in 2006. He began his apprenticeship with the James H. Cole Home for Funerals in August 2006, achieving his license as a licensed funeral director in September 2007. Following licensure, Nathan remained at the Cole Home for Funerals where he served as a senior embalmer. In January, 2023, Nathan accepted the position as a Dodge Sales Representative in Northeastern Michigan and “The Thumb.” Nathan is an avid sports fan, loves to travel, and above all, loves to spend time with family and friends. Collison said, “I’ve known Nathan for several years, and he came to us highly recommended by Brent.
