Lawn Funeral Home was
established in 1962, and
is owned and operated by
founding owner
Donald
Jarka Sr.
and his sons
Don
Jr.
and
Dan Jarka
. Lawn Fu-
neral Home has been a fix-
ture in the Burbank, IL com-
munity for the past 50 years,
and the past 25 years in Or-
land Park, IL. To further
grow and expand their busi-
ness, Lawn Funeral Home is
opening a new funeral home
in Tinley Park, IL.
Lawn’s new two-sto-
ry, 16,382 square foot fu-
neral home is designed in
“Prairie School” architec-
ture with an abundance
of stone, woodwork, and
glass. The first floor features
13,797 square feet, and the
second floor contains 2,585

There are two family loung-
es, a merchandising display
room, work and business
office with reception desk.
The new funeral home sits
on a 2.76-acre site with 95
parking stalls and has room
for future expansion. Com-
pletion is scheduled for the
summer of 2013.
Anderson Memorial Cha-
pel, a family owned and lo-
cally operated business that
has served families in the
Romeoville area for the last
20 plus years, is opening a
new location in Crest Hill,
IL. It will be the first fu-
neral home in this growing
Chicago suburb. Ander-
son Memorial Chapel Inc.
was founded in 1987 and
acquired by the Anderson
family in 1991. In 1999,
Heartland Cremation Ser-
vices
was established, and
an on-site crematory was
installed. Brothers’
Richard
and
Kent Anderson
have
over 57 combined years of
funeral service experience.
The new 9,995 square-
foot, one-story facility will
sit on a 2.5 acre site and is
designed in cottage style ar-
chitecture with stone, stuc-
co, and vertical board and
batten siding. The exterior
also features two drive-un-
der canopies and decorative
window boxes.
Families are welcomed into
the funeral home by a spa-
cious lobby with fireplace
and coffered ceiling, a large
dividable lounge/banquet
room with two kitchenettes,
a children’s area and private
outdoor patio, an arrange-
ment room suite, three offic-
es; reception, work, business,
and a beautiful 200-seat di-
vidable chapel.

is a beautiful stone fireplace
and twenty foot ceilings
with clerestory windows.
Visitations can be held in
one of two chapels that
seat over 200 in each cha-
pel, and are also dividable
for additional visitations.
