This interactive garden utilizes all five senses to stir one’s memory. The garden features various stations that of- fer prompts to encourage individ- uals to remember their loved ones in new and unique ways. Stations include a wind sculpture, a reflec- tion pond, a taste and smell grove, a musical bell lyre, a sharing post, and memory stones for visitors to take with them as they leave. The Reflection Garden offers a reflection pool to develop the ability to stay connected to the Continued on page A24 important people and the rela- tionships that have died in peo- ple’s lives. As people look in a mirror most days, they are very familiar with their appearance which may include characteristics of loved ones that reflect back. The Grove features a Blood Or- ange tree to help families explore how emotions and memories can have a taste and smell to them. The fruit of the blood orange tree may seem extremely sweet or somewhat tart depending on the taster.
