SAN FRANCISCO,CA—
Passare, Inc.,
a trust-
ed and relevant source for End-of-Life planning
and management, has announced the Novem-
ber availability of its recent eBook,
“Under-
standing U.S. Veteran Benefits and Services.”
As
the latest addition to a compelling Passare series
focused on helping people better understand
End-of-Life planning, this eBook was timed to
honor our many service representatives on Vet-
eran’s Day and offers a detailed overview of eli-
gibility and benefits, claims, programs and ser-
vices available to veterans, active duty service
members and their families.
Eligible United States military veterans and
service members are entitled to many benefits
for their service to this country. According to
the eBook, those eligible include active and re-
tired service members of the Army, Navy, Air
Force, Marine Corps, the Coast Guard and the
National Guard or reserve service members.
Available benefits depend upon many consid-
erations, including military unit service or ser-
vice-related injuries.
In addition, Veteran Affairs (VA) and the De-
partment of Defense (DOD) offer an extensive
list of benefits for veterans. These include ben-
efits for healthcare and education, home loan
guarantees, pensions, compensation, aid and
assistance programs, financial counseling, on-
line will preparation services, grief counseling
services, and more.
Veterans and service members also qualify for
a memorial service, if requested. The military
may provide a color guard, pallbearers, rifle de-
tail, or even a military flyover. During a funer-
als honors ceremony, a minimum of two uni-
formed personnel must be present to present
the burial flag to the family. Additional burial
benefits to honor veterans include headstones,
markers, presidential memorial certifications,
gravesite maintenance, and a guaranteed burial
space in any of the 131 national cemeteries.
The services and benefits a veteran receives
serving their country. With
this resource, they can con-
tinue to protect those they
love, even after they’re gone,”
said
Dorian J. Carr,
veteran’s
service representative for the
city and county of San Fran-
cisco and Passare expert pan-
el member. “The veteran ben-
efits and services outlined in
the Passare eBook assist our

have earned. Having this un-
derstanding not only helps to
ensure that their loved ones’
futures will be secure, but also
that their legacies will be hon-
ored.”
